Advanced Enviro-Septic has been specified as the onsite wastewater treatment system for the “Kenilworth Designer Dunny” Ideas Competition being run in partnership with the Kenilworth community and Sunshine Coast Council.

Designers and architects from across Australia are invited to submit their entries to create an iconic public artwork that will become a visitor attraction for the picturesque country town.

The “Designer Dunny” will be situated in Isaac Moore Park on the banks of the Mary River and is hoped to generate a sense of pride and excitement within the Kenilworth community.

Sunshine Coast Divisional Councillor Greg Rogerson has championed the project from its inception and said he was looking forward to receiving some innovative and creative design.

“As well as the practical benefits of a toilet for a much used and loved park, this toilet will definitely be a major talking point and draw card for the Kenilworth area,” Cr Rogerson said.

The AES system was chosen due to its low visual impact, cost-efficient operation and environmentally friendly design.

AES business development manager, Randall Crisp, said he is very happy to support the people of Kenilworth in their desire to create an innovative environmentally and economically sustainable public facility.

“AES will save rate-payers thousands of dollars per year on operational and maintenance costs because the system does not require any power or chemical input. It is a passive system that treats wastewater to advanced secondary level safely in patented pipes underground, making it the safest option for parks where children and families get together,” Mr Crisp said.

The top prize for the competition is a hefty $10,000, so put your thinking caps on and get those entries in!

The competition opens on November 27, 2015 and closes on January 29 2016 with the winner to be announced in March next year.

“Good luck to all those who choose to enter”
