With all things you need to learn. Not only in the application of our product but also in the in field practices and the 1 to 2 % of situations where we did not anticipate what can happen. Not only in the application of our product but also in the infield practices and the few occasions where we did not anticipate things that have happened.
“BY SHARING AND NOT HIDING MISTAKES WE EXPAND KNOWLEDGE AND DEVELOP BETTER UNDERSTANDING, IMPROVEMENTS IN OUR PROCESS AND OUR PRODUCT OUTCOMES”
We have been surprised as we are sure that you will be at some of the things that have occurred. As we share mistakes we will also share the procedure and engagement changes we have made.
In the above photo you can see that the raised connector on the right is not installed at the top of the AES pipe and the on the left it is installed at the bottom of the AES pipe one. In mistake number 9 – the plumber that did the installation had not done the certification – but his boss had. The uncertified plumber was left to do the installation and obviously did not refer to the installation instructions enclosed with the AES fittings. In addition to this the pipes were not a level instead had backfall towards the septic tank. The AES bed was not installed as per the design and was higher than the drainage line from the septic tank, which was also installed back to front.
PROCESS CHANGE: We now require a signed acknowledgement form from the Lic Plumber doing the installation, that he is the plumber that will be doing the work. If we do not receive this we will not supply the product. The plumber doing the installation must be certified whether he is the boss or not!
